Packing your suitcase: crease-free when traveling!

Tips on how to pack your suitcase properly:

Get tissue paper from a stationery, moving company, or department store. You then use this to lay out your suitcase - and thus prevent the friction that causes the crease in the first place.

Fold trousers along the creases and make sure that the trouser legs are symmetrical on top of each other. Now put the pants with the waistband first in the suitcase and leave the legs outside for the time being. If you have multiple pairs, repeat the process, placing tissue paper between each pair of pants. Now pack your suitcase further, your legs stay outside. When the suitcase has been packed to about level with the side wall, fold your legs. Dresses are also laid, depending on the length of the skirt. Don't forget - always put a layer of tissue paper in between!

Shirts and blouses are buttoned and placed with the button facing down. Place tissue paper on your back and fold the sleeves at the shoulder seam.

Suit jackets are more difficult to handle: first of all, stuff your sleeves with tissue paper up to your shoulders. Next, it would be good to stabilize the collar with a cardboard cuff, such as those found in freshly bought shirts. Then button the jacket and, like the shirts, lay it on a mat with your back facing up. It would now be advisable to place a roll made of tissue paper or suitably rolled up underwear or socks across the back.

As an alternative to tissue paper: "Roll the clothes!"

A towel or T-shirt can lie between the layers - as a cushion for the next layers.

Roll up the belt, starting with the buckle, then place it in a side pocket of the suitcase or between other items of clothing. Also wrap the belts in tissue paper. Ties should also be rolled up or placed in a tie case. Shoes belong in the shoe bags provided for them. Hats come in the case with the curve down and are filled with socks.

The underwear must be put separately in smaller bags - e.g. a washing machine sack. So you can use the laundry as a "filler" in the suitcase between the items of clothing. To fill in gaps, you should use underwear, swimwear and socks to fill the gaps everywhere in your suitcase.

Finally, come the crease-sensitive parts ! Cover this with a layer, which can be a towel, T-shirt, pashmina scarf or something similar.

Check that all tubes and bottles are tightly closed and to be on the safe side, put the toiletry bag in a plastic bag to prevent greater misfortune!
